spacious and comfy rooms, powerful showers, charming traditional aesthetic
Cramped room sizes are an issue!!! Outdated mattresses need replacing especially in smaller twin rooms!!! Wi-Fi connectivity intermittent at times!!! Squeaky floors could disturb your peace!!! Parking availability is tight during peak times!!!

We had a really nice stay, really enjoyed the place and would love to return. We stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel was special and perfectly clean, with great location in a lovely area perfect for walking along the river. Location: the venue was near Inverness centre, Very close to the River Ness and shops and transportation. Spent our evenings in nearby Nicky Tam's enjoying drinks and atmosphere. Our standard queen room with an electric kettle, central heating and an iron was nicely furnished.

Good old and absolutely charming hotel, the idea of having superior queen room was great. I booked a room with a very comfy bed, a couch and a small couch. Garden view was nice. The services were good. The venue's location was very central, right next to the river bank...

Cavell House impressed me with its charming decor and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight. The Scottish breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade yoghurt. Camilla, the host. The location is perfect for scenic walks along the river, great for a refreshing morning routine. My room was spacious and well-furnished, complete with a kettle and electric blankets, perfect for chilly nights. I noticed some minor issues. The small bed in my room felt less comfortable and seems like it needs replacement. The Wi-Fi connection wasn't dependable, made planning local attractions a bit challenging.

The breakfast was a good start to our day, with plenty of tasty options, and I loved how the decor felt cozy and homey. There's a lovely garden area to relax in. A serene spot by the river to unwind after a long day. The kettle in our room was a bit tricky to use since it was placed on the floor, but it didn't really bother us at all. 😊

great stay with a few minor hiccups
Camilla stood out as an extraordinary host, showing warmth and kindness that brightened our stay. The location by the river made for lovely morning walks, and the breakfast, especially the porridge, left a lasting impression on me. The inviting atmosphere of the home.
The bed in the room felt smaller than expected, but it didn't detract significantly from my stay.
